With a multi-cultural upbringing and 12 years of experience in online marketing and digital media, I'm a naturally inquisitive person. This personal blog will combine my thoughts on everyday observances, coupled with trends in digital media.
Work Experience
After interning at both interactive and traditional agencies in Kalamazoo, Michigan, I started my post collegiate career with Leo Burnett's interactive arm, Giant Step (now ARC Worldwide). I assisted clients like Maytag and Purina with their initial Internet strategies. After Giant Step, I became an original member of the Orbitz eMarketing team, where I negotiated and managed multi-million dollar marketing campaigns, in addition to launching the Orbitz Affiliate Program. After a 'dot com' break in Lyon and sailing home across the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2, I returned to Chicago and managed Q Interactive's search and affiliate marketing efforts.
I've spent the last three years managing my consulting practice, Bsolutions, where I assisted small and large sized business with their digital media strategies. I also launched CondoPerks, a loyalty program for condominium associations and received an Emmy for my work with the NBC5 Street Team. I recently joined Edelman's Consumer Brands Group, serving as an internal social media specialist, advising teams on proper protocol and contributing to overall strategy. Other Tidbits I hold a degree in Advertising from Western Michigan University and am passionate about mentoring young women through the community blog I created- Gals' Guide.
